Duplications from our Vault Libraries

Microfilm Subscriptions - Traditional & Digital Libraries
Get an annually renewed subscription of current newspaper publications. An institution will begin to receive their subscription as soon as the paper is filmed. Each time a publication is filmed, the subscribing institutions are automatically sent a duplicate copy of the microfilm reel.

Preserve the past by making sure OLD newspapers are properly microfilmed and archived. Digital images stored on magnetic media (hard disks or tapes) last about three to five years. CDs and DVDs generally last five to ten years and will likely be the next obsolete media. Microfilm from Heritage, however, has a life expectancy of 500 years when stored properly.
